Golden Valley Envision Connection Project

One of the cornerstone organizations the GVCF supports  is  the Envison ConnnectIon Project (ECP).   Though completely  separate organizations, the activities of the ECP mirror areas the GVCF is focused on supporting and building upon.

To help residents, businesses, and institutions come together to make their visions for community a reality, the Golden Valley City Council created the Envision Connection Project.  The ECP oversees community engagement efforts in the city and encourages Bridge Builder initiatives to improve the city and connect the community.  For more detailed information on the city initiative follow this link:  http://www.goldenvalleymn.gov/envision/index.php

A challenge of community engagement is getting the word out to interested people that there are initiatives being considered and some already taking place. Another challenge is funding the ideas and events that build community spirit that engages participants.

The Golden Valley Community Foundation was founded May 2011 in part, to provide philanthropic sponsorship for both new and traditional events and ideas that help build community in Golden Valley.
